Article: Numbers and Your Career…Is It Time
to Move On?
Regardless of
where you are in your nine year cycle, September, the ninth month, infuses
your personal year with stronger numeric energy, heightens motivation,
and, within the context of your personal year, brings attention to
circumstances that affect everyday life.
This
is a month when people in the workforce tend to assess the pro’s and
con’s of their current situation, and may consider moving on to a new
position. The number of your personal year will indicate whether it is
likely that you will have an opportunity to make a career move, and how
this move will affect your long-term success and security.
We all move in regular progressive
patterns through our personal years 1 to 9, although at times we may
experience the energy of a Master number year 11, 22, or 33 instead of the
lower octaves 2, 4, and 6. In numerology, the most likely years for career
moves are personal years 1, 3, 5, 8, 9, and 11. Years 2, 4, 6, 7, and 22
tend to be periods of consolidation and stability.
A simple calculation will give you
your personal year number:
Add the number of your month of
birth (4 for April, 12 for December etc.) to your day of birth. If you
have not had your birthday yet, add 11 to the previous total, but if you
have had or are about to have your birthday, add 3.
You will have a two digit number.
If it is 11, 22, or 33, your calculations are finished- if not, add those
two digits together to get only one digit.
For example, if your birthday is
November 7:
add 11+7+11 = 29;
2+9=11: this is an 11
personal year
If your birthday is August 20:
add 8+20+3=31;
3+1= 4: this
is a 4 personal year
Please note,
we often begin to feel the transition into our new personal year about six
weeks to two months before our birthday, when it officially begins.
Year 1:
Whether you move or not, this
year you may find yourself in a new position in the same company, or in
the same position with a new boss. You may also meet a new mentor. There
may be a chance to take on a leadership role, to step forward and be
noticed.
Year 2:
This year calls for team work and collaboration. Your time and
energy is directed toward supporting others, and you are not likely to
make any major career move.
Year 3:
Career moves are not strongly indicated, but they can happen in a 3
year. Advancement within the same company is favoured by the energy of 3,
as you seem to be receiving quite a bit of attention.
Year 4:
You are focused on short term goals and tasks this year, and there is a
lot of work for you to do. You may be thinking about whether you are being
fairly compensated for your time and effort. Toward the end of your 4
personal year, you may attract the attention of “head hunters” or a
prospective new employer.
Year 5:
Expect the unexpected this year. It’s a good year to be open to any kind
of movement in your career. You will be highly visible, and are likely to
meet a lot of new people. This year you may initiate a complete change,
not just who you work for but also what you do, and where you do it.
Year 6: This
is not normally a career year, but you may move to a home office, or a
workplace that is closer to home. You may do some mentoring this year and
will be working hard to juggle your career and family obligations.
The interpersonal dynamics in the workplace may come to your
attention, and you may get involved in conflict resolution.
Year 7:
This year you may be taking some work related courses at a local
college, gathering information, expanding your skill set, and developing
greater expertise in your field. It is not normally a time for career
move, unless you are hired as a trouble shooter, advisor, or analyst. Let
things come to you this year.
Year 8:
This year brings a harvest of sorts, since much of the effort and
diligence you have put forward in previous years is about to come to
fruition. You are called to take bold, decisive action this year. There
may be a promotion, or a strategic move to another company. You are likely
to have greater leadership responsibilities and major work assignments
along with an increase in pay.
Year 9:
This year you may be working more with the public than you have in
previous years, and your effort may have a broader impact. Something must
come to an end this year, and it may be in any area of your life, or in
several areas. You may make a decision to leave your current employer near
the end of this personal year. New positions that you take on in the first
half of your 9 year are often “stepping stone” positions.
Year 11: Fasten
your seatbelt! This is a year of surprises and sudden developments in all
areas of your life. You are in the spotlight and others are aware of what
you have to contribute to the success of their enterprise. For that reason
your 11 year may bring a promotion or a tempting offer.
Year 22:
This year doesn’t usually indicate career moves, although it will bring
increasing responsibilities as you work hard to bring big ideas into
reality. It is likely that you will be asked to serve on committees this
year and possibly attend at least one international conference.
Please note that there are many
other aspects in your profile, all of which blend together to indicate
your Divine purpose, and to offer guidance and insight into your career
path, as well as other areas of your life. If you would like to know more

Sesame
Street…Cornerstone Letters B, K, T
Many readers will have fond
memories of watching
Sesame Street
, either as a young child, or as the parent of a young child. The show was
always “brought to us” by a number and a couple of letters.
Over the next few months I will be
doing a “
Sesame Street
” feature, in which I will explain the meaning of each of our alphabet
letters, and the attributes we are most likely to see in individuals who
have these letters at the beginning of their name.
The first letter in your first
name at birth is known as your cornerstone. It provides insight into the
foundation of your personality, and you can learn a lot about a person by
understanding the nature of his or her first letter.
In June, we introduced the
cornerstone letters A, J, and S. If you missed this newsletter and would
like to know about these letters, please send a request through info@gotyournumber.ca
This month we are looking at the
cornerstone letters B, K and T. The
letters B and T carry the number 2 vibration. Relationships are important
to these people and they take pleasure in supporting others.
B represents balance and
inward stability. People with the B as a cornerstone letter may be shy,
are likely to have a good memory, and may enjoy collecting certain items
of interest. They will often keep their true feelings to themselves.
The horizontal line on the letter T indicates that this person will
be protected by following inner guidance and wisdom.
There may be reluctance to express feelings, or a tendency to let
them build up over time until they are released in a temperamental
outburst.
The receptive letter K carries the energy of the master number 11.
Here there are three triangles: one to receive grounded energy from Mother
Earth, one to receive energy from spirit, and a third triangle looking
toward the future and radiating deep understanding outward to others.

How To Interpret Your Number
